So Tired

Okay, so I haven't been around much. Sorry. Let's blame the 5 puppies that haven't yet been housebroken and need attention every minute of the day, especially at night.

I'm exhausted, but they should all be going to good homes soon, so that makes me happy.

That being said, I just wanted to share that I think this bee picture is the best picture I've ever taken in my life. Seriously.

1.
At 9 EST, you'll be able to see a different, cooler shot of this amazing bug over at Insect POD. Just click on the picture to go there and see! I'll be doing a guest stint for the rest of the week!

2. I'm looking for submissions for The Pooch Page (LJ Feed Here), and if anybody wants their pup featured, they just have to email me a high-res photo with whatever info they may want to go with it! Just drop me a line!

3. I'm looking for a new job. Anybody out there want a work-from-home transcription specialist?

4. Arabic class is going well. Today's my first quiz, and I'm hoping to ace it. Guess we'll find out.

Spider!

I missed my regular Thursday post over at Insect POD this week, so David let me post up a spider picture today!

It's creepy!

Sorry for all the links, but I'm honestly quite proud of my stint over at Insect POD, that David has let me take over one day a week with my pictures and stuff. I think it's really cool!

I know I'm talking a lot about gaming lately, but I am still making sure to take time to enjoy my other pursuits. I'm still making pizzas, taking pictures, and contributing weekly to Insect POD. I'll even be doing a very special Spider Friday this week! Two posts in a week! That's pretty cool, I think, and I hope you go check them out.

Really, I am playing a lot of City of Heroes/Villains while trying to balance it with everything else. In the morning between 8 and 9 I play for an hour, then get to work. During the day I work, take care of the house, etc, and then dinner with Maria. At night, depending on what's going on, I have been playing for several hours.

It's a good time, and I'm surprised with how little I'm allowing it to interfere with my daily life. I'm normally very easily addicted to games like this. Maybe I've grown up, a little bit?

Oh, Yeah!

All this week I've got guest blogger [livejournal.com profile] akdidge writing up posts on how to survive the colds of Alaska if you're trying to escape zombies! I'm very grateful that he took out some time to write up a few potentially life-saving hints and tips for living up north, and love that he lets his sense of humor shine through in what could have otherwise been a relatively dry but informative piece. Check it out! (You have to scroll down for the first one, and the most recent is at the top, just like with Livejournal.)

Also, I did another guest stint at Insect POD, so if you want to find out why I'm never going swimming in a natural body of water again, go check that out too!

In other news, I have to get back to work now.

I don't have a cool link for that. Sorry.

I did a guest blogging spot on InsectPOD! Whoo! I've made the big time now! You know you're popular when you submit so many pictures to a site that the owner finally breaks down and says "Fine, damn it! You can write your own post! Just stop killing my server with your flood of beautiful bug pictures*!"

Still, I'm psyched, because it's cool! And the picture? Well, go look and find out!

I was tempted to insert a link in my writeup to my own picture blog, but thought that would be a little gauche, you know?

*It didn't happen quite like that. It might have been me asking if he'd be interested in me writing a guest spot, or something like that. Maybe. Possibly.

1) I don't know if you've heard of Infusions of Grandeur, but if you haven't, today they are beginning yet another fantastic-sounding yet potentially devastating infusion:

Bacon Vodka. Yes, you read that right. Bacon-infused vodka. I'm hopeful that it comes out well, because I'd probably make that at home.

2) If you haven't been reading My Name Is Might Have Been, you should check it out. It's a comic strip about a post-apocalyptic world based around the game Rock Band, done in such a way that you don't have to know about the game in order to enjoy the strip, but it does help. Even the makers of the game love the strip. Recently, the writing has really come into its own and I can't wait to see what else they throw at us. The most recent strip is killer.

See? I can link to things that have nothing to do with me! For a while I realized it seemed like every time I was linking something it was me saying "Hey, look at the cool picture I put up on Insect POD, or "Look at one of my other blogs for something really neat!"

It was bugging me, so I thought I'd send the good vibes elsewhere for once.
