Here in Tacoma, having a fun time. Burning a little fire with my friend L. Lisa Lawrence. Check it out!

I'm vaguely considering starting a vlog. I already have a YouTube account where I post videos from time-to-time, and then share them relentlessly on all my social media, so I was thinking why not make it a "thing?" Not a "thang," mind you. Just a "thing."

What I'd like to do is make interesting videos that center mostly around the new skills I'm trying to pick up but because I'm me I know I'd only do this if I could also put in things about my life, bad jokes, and day-to-day stuff. But it would center around new skills.

For example, something like this video:

Only, if I were going to be doing this f'r'serious I'd try to make sure my lighting was better, my camera presence was actually THERE, and my sound levels weren't going to bust your eardrums. Plus, while I'd never do something scripted (I just DO NOT work that way, even when I should), my dialogue would probably be a little more polished. This video was just a quick "look what I can do!"

Would anybody be interested in watching one or two weekly videos from me? I'm thinking of sharing them on this blog but might just start a new one specifically for video.

Please forgive if I flood the market with videos. I will try to at the very least make them short and entertaining. I'm just trying to get used to the camera, use it and enjoy it.

Be gentle. It's just a quick "hello," wondering whether or not you're interested in seeing/hearing more of me in this way. Let me know either way?

I don't think I've ever put a video in my LJ before, but this was too good and I had to pass it on.

I should add that this was ganked from [ profile] morlith.

Were you a fan of "Once More With Feeling," the musical episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer? Do you like Joss Whedon? How about Neil Patrick Harris? There's also some Nathan Fillion guy in it. Do you want to see any of these people singing?

If you can say yes to any of the above, you have to go watch Dr. Horrible. It's about 14 minutes long, and will make your life 14 minutes awesomer.
