It's the kind of thing that you can work on when you wake up in the middle of the night, and won't disturb anyone else in the house.
And you can always put it down and start it up again later, it can sit around untouched for periods of time if you need to. And sometimes thats good for revisions too.
And if you by some strange chance actually FINISH it, send it off to some editors. Why not? Could make for a first step at becoming famous too :)
