Hmm.

Okay, let's pretend that I'm dumb and know nothing about American politics and politicians as they really are right now. Sure, let's say I have a basic knowledge of how the government is supposed to work, checks and balances, President, Vice-President and all that good stuff, but that's just in practice. When it comes to the real life stuff I'm completely ignorant.

What is the most important thing that I need to know about American politics as they are right now? Biggest scandal? Most important figurehead? What do you think I need to know?

--What do you think I need to know?--

That everything you've been told since grade school about how we as a people elect our leaders is a falsehood. That due to the electoral college being what it is, our votes really don't count and that we instead vote for the people who will vote for the leaders we may or may not want.

We really all should work our way into the electoral college.
We can do what we're 'supposed to', until we are ready for a coup, because we're not required to vote for what the constituants tell us to vote for, and we can put whomever we want into office, and thus Jeremiah will be elected president with 0% of the popular vote :)

Go, my minions, begin your work...

Yeah, that sucks, doesn't it? It's definately something that needs to be gotten rid of - we aren't slack jawed idiots any more without the ability to properly elect our own officials!

Wait...maybe we should keep them...
