Out of Nowhere

Blindsided by rage. No reason, no explanation. A few stupid bad things (little, tiny things that I'd normally not care about) suddenly seem huge and insurmountably angering and seem to be the cause, but logically I know they're not.

So what is it? Imbalance? Will food help? I don't mean comfort-wise, I mean am I low on blood sugar or something similar and thereby need some food to help stabilize whatever's going on.

Intense emotions like this out of nowhere are ridiculous.

I'll be fine. Writing about it is helping, but it's there. Maybe I just need to go on a long bike ride and look around the neighborhood, get some fresh air.

Right after pizza.

ETA: Time to switch back to decaf coffee. Was trying to save money and only buy one kind so that we could make it all at one time, but I think I'm going to have to brew mine separately from Maria's.

Ah, caffeine. That's what tackled me this afternoon. Instead of the cup of tea in the morning and coffee later in the day, I had a medium coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, and then another coffee later. I am buzzing right now, and not in a good way. Caffeine does NOT mix well with antidepressants.

As I've said often, I understand why people use caffeine as a jolt, but for me I find that it helps me for a few hours, and then I get cranky, tired, and not good. I'm trying to avoid it, except for those days when a few hours of hard productivity are needed.

I'm fine so long as I pay attention to my limits. It's when I ignore the fact that I had half the amount of caffeine yesterday as usual and slug down as many coffees as I can that it's a problem.

This is part of the reason why I want to be less tired. If I'm less tired, I can rely less on caffeine.

I don't know how true it is, but they say a large apple in the morning in place of a medium coffee gives equal energy, and better energy due to the way it releases.

No idea if it's true, like I said, but just a thought.

Doesn't work. The sugars make me sluggish, even if they are just fructose. I'm told orange juice has an invigorating effect on some people; it makes me sleepier. Protein is even worse, though it does help me not feel hungry for a longer period of time.

Biologically, I do not react to things that wake people up the way most people do. The only exception is caffeine. I suspect I get it from my father, whose blood is half-caff.

Caffeine is a horrible drug. I've actually had a cup of coffee a day for the past week, and boy is that a wacky caffeine high. Can't be good for you, and addiction is a bad thing too.
Hope the dogs like their daycare!
