احلن وصحلن. كيف الحلك؟

No idea whether or not this is going to work properly, just testing something. My spelling is horrible, I know.

Edit: Oh, for the record, all that says is "Hi. How are you?"

ooOOOoo....pretty!

Thank you. :)

I knew I could get my computer to write in Arabic, but I wasn't sure if it would show up properly on LJ. As it is, it's left-aligned when it should be right-aligned, but that's not a big deal at all.

Yeah, your writing is so bad I can't read a thing! ;P

Heh.

Dude, how many watch lists did you just hit?

BOMB!

One more, now. :D

*laughs*

Well, since I'm learning the language in hopes that I can later use it while working FOR our government, hopefully they'll keep that in mind once they find it out during the huge background search that is probably now going on about me. :)

Tss, your spelling's not so bad. And trust me, you do not want to try making lj right-align. It's just painful.

I could have looked up the proper spelling, but according to Khalil (my teacher) the Arabic language is 100% phonetic. I call BS on that after trying to transcribe it.

My teacher told us right off the bat that there was no way to transcribe Arabic into English, and he went so far as to have us marker over the transliterations in our textbooks. The more I read of it, the more I think he was right to do so.

Well, what I mean is, he claims that transcribing Arabic in Arabic is easy because (he says) it's 100% phonetic once you know their alphabet. (الف با). I say that for a non-native speaker, there are letters that are probably always going to be almost impossible to differentiate between in common speech.
