Feeling Creatively Unenlightened

So I'll do a meme! Yay meme!

Leave your name, and ..
1. I'll respond with something random about you
2. I'll challenge you to try something
3. I'll pick a colour that I associate with you
4. I'll tell you something I like about you
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you
8. I ask that if I do this for you, you post this in your journal, but you don't have to.

Didn't we already do this?

Anyway, as Tina Turner said, "Hit me again Ike, and this time put some stink on it!"

Yes, I went there.

1. For the longest time, I thought the ak in front of didge stood for Andrew K. No idea why.

2. I challenge you to master the ability to juggle three balls for more than 10 repetitions (which are called "jugs" in the business). I have no idea if you can do this already or not, but if not, get cracking. Time off your feet should give you plenty of opportunity to work with your hands!

3. White, intermixed with a light blue. Weird.

4. I find you witty and insightful. You remind me of me, when I'll be your (supposed) age.

5. I hate this question for people I haven't met in real life, so by extension I now hate bowling. So, yeah, take that!

6. Penguins? I think it's more to do with you talking about enjoying a good cold shower than where you're from, though I do imagine that living with all those penguins and polar bears MUST be difficult. Good thing the dogs on your sleds probably scare the penguins out of your way, right?

7. If everything changed tomorrow, that everything you knew was pulled out from under you and you had to choose a new direction for your life, what would you most likely choose? This can be career, life goals, people, place, anything.

Response

1) Yes, that's weird. I tried to originally register under the user name, "Didge" but that was taken. By a guy, who by all accounts has entered hardly anything on LJ. Go figure. So I chose to go with AK cause that's where I'm at. You know, physically, not like in the whole metaphysical aspect. Alright I'm moving on now.

2) Done and done. I'm actually quite the juggler. Once, back in my prime, I managed to juggle four balls at once. Yeah, bow before your master. Now though? Three balls easy enough. I can even get fancy and juggle two balls in one hand. I prefer to juggle things that are of differing weights so that I actually ave to semi-concentrate...otherwise, well you can guess what'll happen.

3) Cool. That's a good choice. Seeing as I'm in AK and all.

4) That's right, respect your (possible) elder! Young whipper snapper. Back in my day they didn't have this finagled thing called the "internet". Nope, no sirree. We had to make do with tin cans attached to string. The wait time for connection was killer man.

5) I am deeply offended. We shall settle this at high noon on lanes 23-24.

6) Only penguins up here are in the Anchorage Zoo (and possibly in the Sea Life enter in Seward). Penguins are not affliated with the North pole. Not after the fallout with Saint Nick. Yeah, a real shame. I guess the elves came in with a lower wage and just booted them suits right ought of a job. They weren't too pleased I can tell you that much. Now? They're just bidding their time, waiting for the elves to screw up and then they'll really stick it to the man in red.

7) In what way would things change? I'm so nebulus in my day-to-day operations that if something like this happened I probably wouldn't notice. Seriously though to answer your question I'd need more of a defined perameter. So I'll answer with the variables you've provided:

Career: Maybe go back to school. Get a degree in something like law and perhaps become an attorney. I like arguing with people and yelling at them would just be a bonus. I think I'd make a good lawyer, but I wouldn't be one of those sleezy types. Unless that firm offered kick-ass dental and a good pension/retirement plan. Then I could do it.

Life goals: I might investigate trying to relive my youth. I was very conservative growing up and I've been meaning to fix that. Some may call it a mid-life crisis, I'd call it partying like I meant it.

People: I'd pick people that I could trust, that have shown themselves to be someone I could lean on in rough times. I'd be upset that I couldn't hang or talk with the people I know now, but I'm confident I could make new friends. I always try to look on the positive of things. I'm depressingly optimistic.

Place: Maybe New Zealand if I had to live outside the US. If I had to live within the US, I may opt for someplace warmer, but not so muggy, and a place where the girl-to-guy ratio is better than it is here. Eight guys to every one girl (in the state) isn't that great if you're a guy. Granted Anchorage, the biggest city, is more 50-50 right now, but still...

1. You're a lot stronger than someone would guess. I was always surprised to see how much you could haul into the kitchen from your car. (It's random, isn't it?)

2. I challenge you to find some relaxing time each day for two weeks to just let your mind wander, and to record the wanderings in whatever media you think is best, writing, voice recorder, livejournal, whatever. No need to share it, of course - this is purely and exercise in getting to know yourself, or something like that.

3. Forest green. No clue why. :)

4. You're genuinely friendly to everyone. It's an amazing trait, and there just never seems to be any fakeness to you.

5. "Yes, my name is Morganna. My character's name is Fay. People usually get them confused." Heh.

6. A fluffy housecat with very very sharp teeth?

7. How did you know that Luke was the perfect guy for you? What moment sticks out in your mind most?

1. Yeah I guess that's random... but mainly I made many small trips...
2. I will try to relax more. I really want to learn to draw.
3. It's funny that I was wearing forest green today. I'm usually more of a blue person.
4. Mostly I like other people. And I have no patience with phony people.
5. Yeah well my middle name is Faye, that's why I picked it...
6. Ha Ha. That one just made me giggle.
7. Luke and I spent the night together before we started dating. I went back to his place for help with a class. We talked most of the night and I was impressed with how he listened. I was lonely and he cuddled me with out trying anything... we didn't even kiss. (that was saved for the next evening). I just loved the way we were together. And it has continued since that day. That we can talk about anything freely is what made me know he was the one.

Hell I'll bite.

[identity profile] jfargo.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
1. I've always thought the picture of you that you use for an icon was very charismatic - showing leadership and heroic abilities.

2. I want you to lead Narnia into victory at Rag for at least one battle - I want Narnia to be the only ones left standing!

3. Blue with a touch of red. No clue why. ;)

4. You always have a story to share or a memory to give.

5. You know, I'm not too sure. I think it was at Kim's Mill, but I'm just really not certain.

6. One of those little dogs that barks a lot, with a propensity to bite anyone it doesn't know.

7. Where did you move to? Congratulations, by the way!

[identity profile] jfargo.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 11:29 am (UTC)(link)
1. I think you are an amazing artist, even when you're drawing non anthropomorphized humans.

2. Come play Adventures In Midland some time! No matter what you may have heard, it's a good time!

3. Swirls of pink, blue, and dark dark (almost black) purple. No clue why.

4. You are a sensitive and sweet person. The fact that you can do awesome cat makeup is just an extra. ;)

5. You were standing proudly over a kill at NERO in full makeup. Actually, I think you were standing proudly over someone else's kill, but it looked impressive!

6. A cat. A very big hunting cat, that's grey. Wonder why...

7. With all the spite and derision out there that seems to be held towards furries and the furry lifestyle, what made you decide to be so open and honest about it? Have you found that LARPers are more susceptible to just not care? Yes, that's two questions, but I'm curious.

[identity profile] rikacmo.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Thank you!
5. It very likely was someone else's kill, I think the only things I killed all weekend were the Pantherghasts. >_> but hey I'm a savar, when don't I have something to be proud of?
7. I'm open and honest about it because people tend to pick up on what you think of your own activities. If I'm not ashamed of it, and it's a hobby just like LARPing or riding, then people are likely to accept that. It helps that LARPers don't usually care that much, and are frequently furry themselves. And it helps that I'm also openly derisive of half the fandom and mock myself openly, because well, some of these people are really fucked up. But then again there are fucked up people in every group, be they LARPers or anime fans or whatever.

1. I think you'd look really weird as a blond.

2. I want you to try to be happy with who you are, and not "reinvent" yourself for a month. This means weight, hair, personality, everything. Be you.

3. Bright Lime Green.

4. You're a gamer chick. ;)

5. Thinking "Who is this loud person sitting behind me? I'm trying to work here!" *g*

6. A parakeet.

7. What was the biggest factor that made you move so far away? I missed it on your journal when I wasn't reading for a while.
