Had some dream last night about being a supernatural officer of the law. From what I remember of it, we were on a bust, and we all had to make sure that we brought our silver bullets. Oh, and there was a doppleganger of me out there somewhere.

It was pretty cool.

Something I've forgotten to post about is that Maria bought a new car! We (she, really) are now the proud owners of a black 2005 Pontiac Vibe. It rides fairly smooth and easy. And everything was going great, until the driver's side window fell off the track and can't be closed.

Five days old, and already things are falling apart. Supposedly, though, it's common for weird little things to go wrong in the first couple months of owning a new car, usually easy to fix.

Does anyone else have experiences with new cars having problems right away? I have to be honest, it has me a little worried about what the future holds with "Bob." (Maria named the car. Oh, and apparently she thinks Bob is gay. Have I mentioned that my girlfriend is just as odd as I am, but in very different ways?)

First off: Repost this line in your journal if there's someone you cant stop thinking about.

Okay, now that that's done:

I hung out with the crowd in high school that not only believed in the supernatural and the occult, but actually tried to track it down. We spent our weekends looking through dusty old book shops for grimoires and such, or driving down dirt roads that were reported to be haunted. We even found some interesting things at times. Look long enough, and you're bound to, I think.

What I find interesting, however, were the lies we told each other. They weren't big lies, usually, but they were definately untruths. For example, I remember after a particularly vivid encounter at an old quarry, one of the people talking about how they saw something come out of the quarry. We all hasted to assure her that, yes, we had seen it too, when in actuality, talking about it later, we all admitted that we had seen nothing in that direction.

It's funny, looking back at my situation while listening to other people talk about their high school experience, and how much they actually parallel each other. Old friends talk about how they would say "Yeah, of course I like to smoke," so that they would get along with all the others in their peer circle, and then later find out that none of them really enjoyed it, except that it was something to do together.

I suppose I'm just musing about how interesting it is that people in so many different situations can share very similar experiences in high school.

Did you ever lie to a group of people to fit in, and later find out that they were lying too, for the same reason?

And for that matter, would you like to hear some of the stories that I have about when I used to go ghost "hunting?" There are many.
