So, the perfect train ride had to end eventually, and even though I'm still working, which is a fantastic thing, the rug of unlimited available overtime got yanked out from under us last week as the commercial that spiked the amount of calls into our office was dropped for a while. It should be back next week, and there are still calls coming in, but boy am I going to be dissapointed by the 37.5 hour pay check that I'll get Thursday when compared to the 48 hour one I got last week.

That's okay, though. While most people are simply being asked to not come in, or to go home early, it's been requested that I start learning how to work within the other client queues. It worries me, a touch, that other workers are getting slightly jealous of what seems to be an unfair amount of trust and faith put in to me when I'm being asked to stay for my eight hour shift and people that have been there for months, or even years in one case, are being asked to cut out after a five hour day. Is there something that I can do to help smooth over that situation? I tried bringing in cake yesterday, but barely anyone ate it, and I think that the people that did are on the IT team, which doesn't help my situation, even if I do think they're cool guys.

Aside from that slight dilemma, things are going okay. I've started a savings account, something I haven't had in probably five years if not longer, and it actually has money in it, which hasn't happened in, oh, about eight years. What?

I'm probably going to be asked to go home early today, as we basically wiped out the queue yesterday, even the ones that I'm working on separately were clean when I left. I don't mind so much today since I have a $20 gift certificate to Barnes & Nobles that's burning a hole in my wallet, and one for the same amount at Target too! Books and video games, here I come!

My girlfriend suggests that I'm predictable, I find myself refreshingly aware of my most basic interests. :)
