Pictures?

As I'm sure you're all well aware of by now, I run a photo-a-day website for dog photos, The Pooch Page, and for the past few months I've been helping [livejournal.com profile] chalain by doing 3 posts a week over at Insect Picture of the Day.

I love it.

Still, sometimes I start running a little low on pictures, so I thought I'd turn to my friends for a little bit of help. Here's what I'm looking for:

Pictures of bugs
Pictures of dogs
Pictures of dogs looking at bugs
Pictures of bugs landing on dogs
Pictures of dog bugs
Pictures of bug dogs

I think that about sums it up. Maybe a few pictures of dogs looking at bugs looking at dogs, but really the only important things in that list are the "pictures of bugs" and "pictures of dogs."

If you have a dog and you want to share them with the world, please send me as many photos as you want! jeremiah@thepoochpage.com

If you have an unhealthy obsession with bugs (like me) and you want to share your photos of them with the world, please send me those cool pictures! jeremiah@larpusa.com

Thanks folks. Any help means a lot to me.

Listen Up!

I found myself, yesterday, looking up at the overcast sky, wondering when I was going to decide that I should actually start living my life as it is right now, and not waiting for "some day." "Some day" I'll get in shape, "some day" I'll be a good student, "some day" I'll train my dogs to be better. You might as well replace "some day" with "never" if I keep thinking that way, so I'm going to try living in the now. Now I'll work on getting in shape. Now I'll be a good student. Now I'll train my dogs. Now life will improve.

Since I don't have to go to the SPCA every morning to walk Roscoe I have an extra hour between the time when I drop Maria off at work, and I am able to start working. During that time I can do homework, work out, take the girls for a nice long walk, or veg out on the computer, doing nothing.

I've done way too much of the last thing, and not nearly enough of the first few.

So this morning I did my homework that's due for class today, studied for the test, and played with the dogs. Work starts in 20 minutes, and I've already done more today than I've done most mornings since I started getting up at 5 AM. Essentially, from 5 until 7 and then 8 to 9 is time for me to improve my life. After 9 is work, school, and then work some more. At 4:30 I stop working, pick up Maria, make/eat dinner, and do the relaxation thing for the rest of the night if we don't have other plans.

So I have 3 hours each day to dedicate to improving myself and my life. I need to make a plan. I'm horrible at making plans. First I have to define my goals, which are:

1. Be a good student/learn Arabic
2. Get in shape
3. Teach Monster to walk well on a leash

With these 3 extra hours, and those 3 goals, my workload should be pretty easily divided. Wake up, go to the gym. Come home, do Arabic homework. Walk the dog. Or wake up, walk the dog, do Arabic homework, go to the gym. Or walking the dog counts as the gym. I don't know. All I know for sure is that I need to start working to improve my life now, and stop waiting for "some day," because some day will never come.
