Hard Labor

Friday: Rototilled for 2 hours, helped spread the now-loose dirt into a more even configuration where the plumbers had dug a huge hole in order to fix our sewer line.

Saturday: Finished spreading and evening the dirt out front. Maria broke the rake.

Sunday: Went to the community mulch pile for free mulch using friend's truck. Filled the truck, brought the mulch back, evened the mulch a little and then went bowling. Used a 16 lb ball while bowling and barely felt it where as I usually use a 12 lb ball and am tired by the third game; could the gym actually be working for me?

Monday: Laid rolls of sod with help from Maria. More coming soon to finish covering up the area out front, and then it's time to dig holes in the part we aren't covering with sod for all the new plants we just purchased. Will be planting the plants we just purchased.

Tonight, if all goes according to plan, we will be doing more mulch. Yesterday, after one truck-full, I was tired. Today, if all goes as it should, we will probably be doing 5 or 6 truck-fulls. Yay!

My shoulders, arms, and neck are in a lot of pain right now. When I bend my head forward at the neck, I can feel my whole upper back protest. I'm not used to lots of manual labor.

That being said, this is one of the best workouts I've ever had over the course of a weekend.
