1. Have you ever ridden a camel?
I've ridden a camel a few times, usually at Renaissance Fairs, or the like. I stopped riding them when I hit a certain weight barrier because then I start to feel bad for the animal, but yes, I have ridden on camels, and their actually rather docile. That could be because they're tied up, but what do I know? I've also ridden elephants.
2. When you are outside, what does the horizon look like?
Houses. I don't live in a development, but I do live in a Suburb. There's really no such thing as a "horizon" here. That's life, I suppose.
3. Who is the last person to leave you a message?
Depends. My boss left me a voice mail message, but
akdidge left me a livejournal message while another friend that none of you know left me an email message, and these were all relatively around the same time.
4. How many hours did you sleep last night?
About 7. I just got up. Unfortunately the seven hours of sleep didn't help the headache I had when I went to bed.
5. Chocolate: take it or leave it?
MINE! YOU CAN'T HAVE MY CHOCOLATE!
*ahem*
FIVE THINGS YOU PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME BUT SHOULD
Theme: Useless
1. I want to be a musical person. I grew up learning how to play the cello, and it's been years since I've played but I still remember it all. My father taught me a little guitar, I taught myself a very little piano, and for a year or two I took trombone lessons. I love to sing, even if I'm not that good at it any more. Some day I'm going to take these smatterings and get kind of serious about the whole thing, because I love learning semi-useless stuff, especially when it's about music.
2. When I was 13 or 14 my parents bought me the Klutz Juggling for the Complete Klutz book, and I've been doing it ever since. It wasn't as hard to learn as I thought, up to a point anyways, and when I was younger I had perfected all sorts of tricks. As I got older, it got less impressive to friends because they had seen all my tricks, so I stopped, and I've since lost the ability to do under the leg and behind the back, but I can still do the good old "1, 2, 3" with a few tricks. I find Juggling to be amazingly catharctic, and do it whenever I get a chance.
3. I can use DOS like it's nobodies business. Oh yeah boys! Seriously, growing up I didn't have many people around me that knew about computers, so as a youngish child I took to using the "help" option a lot, and learned just about every thing you could do in DOS. I could run little programs, set up variables, and made some text-based adventures that were pretty intense. About a year after this, we changed computers and it came with this thing called Windows? Anyone heard of that? Yeah, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Heck, I'm still kind of dissapointed by the change!
4. I am very flexible, especially for a fat guy, but only half of me is. I can put my left foot behind my head without too much strain, but if I do the same thing with my right leg, I would hurt it. I can also touch the inside of my left arm with my left thumb, but can't do the same with my right arm. It's always puzzled me as to why I would be so flexible on one side, but not the other. When in Lotus Position, my head is almost always resting on my feet, there's very little "stretch" there for me.
5. When I was thirteen and in Boy Scouts I got to shoot a rifle a few times. It was fun, and according to my scout masters, I was a natural. They even asked me to join a competition after they saw me shoot a few times. Unfortunately my mom didn't want me using guns, and I haven't picked one up in about 13 years. I wonder if I'm still any good, but doubt I'll ever find out, unless the zombie apocalypse happens.
