The handiest skill to have for any home repair is...Dramatic pause... Common sense. But you alos need tools lots of tools. Now thiat I'm going to be a home owner I need to get more tools, and so do you.
My pipe is leaking water... follow the pipe to the nearest valve and shut it off, if water stops you went the right way, then replace the pipe. if you don't know how, have some one show you. Not they do it and you watch tv. you have to get into it, if a heater guy comes watch how he does this so you could do it in the future. Everything come down to common sense just make sure you get it like it was before the problem... I am prolly making this sound way to easy. you do have to use hard work and be willing to screw up a time or two.--Derek
