Step One on the The Road To Becoming Famous is to let people know that you're attempting to become famous. This might seem counter-productive, as many people want their famous people to seem aloof and uncaring about their stardom, but this is a very important step.

See, while you let people know that you're trying to become famous, you also tell them (truthfully) that you won't forget the people that helped you get there. Those that stay with you, and help you in small ways like pimping out your journal to their friends on livejournal (thanks [livejournal.com profile] karlita!), or just helping you plan your way to the top, become your first fan base. I know, it's scary.

Step One also includes some very hard work on your part. See, having a fan base, even a small one, is hard work. You have to keep them entertained! Without that, they might just decide to go eat a ham sandwich, and while they're doing that the might read about Ben and Jennifer breaking up, and completely forget about you!

This will not do.

So, do zany things! Be interesting! Write articles about what it feels like to be a star. When you're fairly certain you've got the fan base hooked, that they're not going away, you move on to step two.

Oh, and always plan one step ahead of yourself.

Later, a post on all the crazy, zany, funny things that have been happening in my life!

Just remember us "little people" when you're up there at The Top!

Of course! Part of step one is telling the people that help you get to the top that you'll remember them. A true "star" doesn't forget their promises, and so never forgets the "little people." ;)
