Quick couple of points on this year's Halloween:
1. I turned a few people away without candy for not wearing a costume. The only time I exempted this policy was if the child was under ten claiming to be "themselves." They're too young to realize that that just doesn't count.
2. I dressed up in order to give out candy this year. I like getting into the spirit of the season, and sometimes have more fun for this holiday than almost any other. My birthday always comes first of course. It is too a holiday!
3. I sent two children under the age of 5 running and screaming in terror, accidentally, due to my costume. I feel slightly ashamed of this, but can't stop laughing while writing this at the same time...
4. I sent two or three children over the age of 10 running in terror due to my costume (and the fact that I ~acted the part~), and I am actually slightly proud of this fact. Sue me. Kids need to be scared now and then.
5. No, you can't know what my costume was until I post pictures. The pictures were taken before a few modifications, unfortunately, but I think Maria and I still did a fantastic job on the make-up, considering it was extremely last minute with only what we had in the house.
I hope everyone had a happy Halloween!
