I am now seeing the world through a frame.
Things are very different, and this is going to take me quite some time to get used to, I think. I know glasses aren't there to fix your eyes, only to "bandaid" them (if not actually make them worse), but I needed to do something, and laser surgery was not an option at this time. I just don't trust it, and the money is way more than I have available.
We'll see if they help me read the names on the checks at work tonight. Here's hoping!

Date: 2005-06-14 08:18 pm (UTC)Sure you don't want contacts? I was iffy on them at first. The first time I put them in I thought I'd made my vision worse, sticking my fingers in my eye was the worst part, and then the contacts felt like little prongs were fusing them to my retinas for about 5 minutes. But I quickly grew proficient to the point where I can dust one off, rinse it in the rainwater on the hood of the truck, and finger it in without a mirror like I did two weeks ago at Dag. Still hurt like hell though.
Then again, maybe you look better in glasses than I do.
