10 Stupid Things I Gotta Do

Okay, I have to do a lot of things when I get home from work tonight. Let's put them here so I have reference for my feable brain to grok at 3am when all I really want to do is go to sleep.
1. Glue pommels onto swords for Saturday. Have to make sure they set right.
2. Re-finish hammer by putting new padding on top to make it a "stabbing" weapon too.
3. Put cloth over hammer so it doesn't look like the big, dirty, couch cushion that it is.
4. Do DDR so that I can beat double-t when he comes over on Saturday. (If I can't beat him, I have to remember to cheat....)
5. Prepare for D&D on Saturday: Make sure everything is in place in my head at least.
6. Finish cleaning kitchen. We get a second dog tomorrow and that's where we're keeping her until her kennel cough goes away because we don't want Wonton to catch it.
7. Did anyone catch the part where I'm getting a new dog? Like how I just slipped that in?
Okay, so I don't have 10 things that I have to do, but I do have quite a few things that need to get done. It'd be easier if Maria didn't have a meeting at 4:30 for work (a full hour earlier than we normally even ~leave~ for work), but it's easy enough to work around and take care of.
I'm going to have something fun and interesting to write, but probably not until later tomorrow, around noon or so. Hoping it's a hit, and if it is, I might make it into a weekly segment, like the "Who I Am" bit.
We'll see.

Date: 2005-08-07 05:30 pm (UTC)For example, the SPCA lists her as a German Shepard mix, but if I had to bet all the money that I have (I think that's equal to about $25 right now, but that's not the point) I would bet that the only part they got right out of "german shepard mix" was the "mix."
She's a Sharpei, like Won Ton, and we think mixed with a beagle, or something similar. She's a loving cutie, and after having great difficulty picking a name, we chose "Mai Tai." So, she's a fruity drink with rum. :)
You're welcome to come visit her (us?) some time, if you like.
Talk with you soon. My best to Derek...I hope he's okay after the accident?

Date: 2005-08-07 09:34 pm (UTC)Derek's getting along alright, though I know his neck and shoulder have been bothering him a bit. His boss wanted him to go in to be the overnight baker this morning, yeah right, that's a lot of lifting and carrying for someone who was just in a car-totaling-accident. His papers from the hospital said he should rest for a few days. I'm not sure if he is scheduled for tomorrow, but if he is, he'll probably go in then.
Psst - Mai Tai is a cute name for Won Ton's companion :D Is she smaller, being part beagle-ish? Are they getting along well?
We know that you guys go to Maria's mom's on Sunday nights or we would've asked you to stop by tonight, it's Ari's impromptu sort-of-birthday-bash. It's his birthday, but he doesn't want presents, he just wants to hang out and snack on food. Derek's out rounding everyone up and getting them here.

Please tell Ari happy birthday, even though we're late. We didn't get home last night until around 9, otherwise might have tried to get in touch and figure out what was going on.
We're going to need your address before we're able to come visit. ;)
