From 9am to 11:40am, I modelled for a creative form drawing art class at UB for the first time. I go back next Thursday for a different class.

It was definately interesting. I think I would have been ~more~ okay if there wasn't a freakin' HUGE mirror on one side of the room.

Short post, sorry. Ghosthunting will be longer.

I'm glad things went well, and that you don't seem to dread going back next week. I definately think you're braver than I am, too. :)

Yea, that's not for me.
I don't like seeing PHOTOs of myself.... CLOTHED even!
The mirror would definitely do me in, as would any very nice looking girls.
What would win out - Pretty Girl factor or In Front of Lots of People factor?
I'd rather not find out. I'm married after all.

The class easily had a ratio of 3:1, girls dominating guys.

Every single female was attractive. HOWEVER, I found it rather easy to tune out the people in the room, once we began. Strange. *shrugs*

The drawings of me, that I got to see, were actually rather fattering.

Actually, there were a few that made me kind of stop in shock. One made me look....noble. The other pictured me in a sort of soft light-shadow combination that made me feel as though I come from somewhere not of this world...and it made me feel a weird sense of pride.

It was nice to see myself through such talented artist's eyes.

Oh, and hey, what does married have to do with modelling? I mean, I've been with Maria for 6 years now, and it wasn't anything about that...it was just about something to do. :)

I think Maria was a little freaked out that I kind of wanted to do this, but hey...she was supportive.

I'm not sure it's bravery. See, in all honesty, I'm ~kind of~ an exhibitionist. Now, that doesn't mean (in my world) that what I did turned me on or whatever...it simply means that I'm comfortable with my body (mostly) and get a small thrill showing it off to..say...20-25 complete strangers.

It's strange...in one day, more people have seen me naked than in my entire life, I believe.

I like to feel that I'm comfortable with my body but showing it off to bunches of people......errr.......around here, I might know too many of the people on the college campuses.

Does it pay well?

Honestly, I can't remember how much it pays. I think it's something like $15 an hour, which is decent wage in this area, but if you only do it once a week for 2 1/2 hours...*shrugs*...It's worth it just for the different experience, I think.

Yeah but if it's 3 hours tax free for $15 an hour......that's $45 to spend on something and you know, this IS the 5 College area and between Massachusetts and Connecticut, there are alot of colleges around. I could make a living off of doing that.......hmm. Crappy retail where I keep my clothes on or posing nude in front of strangers for a few hours for good money? Options options......

And honestly? The pictures that people drew of me were quite flattering. I know I've said it before, but I can't stress how comfortable they made me feel, even though I was standing in front of them, everything bared for the world to see.

I would really consider doing this more often, if I didn't have a day job. If I can get a night job, I think I'm going to apply to all the colleges in the area (I can think of 8 off the top of my head) and see what happens.

A lucrative career! Who knew?!

I've been looking and some of these place pay $20 to $30 an hour. Nice.
