Okay, I've started making an in character journal for my character in Derek's Dungeons and Dragons game, and it can be found here. There's nothing in it yet, except in the user info, sorry about that. I'll probably work on it tonight.

There is also DM's Pride, which has even less in it right now. This is going to be my DM journal, which will be both in character from the eyes of the NPCs, and out of character with notes on what went wrong, what went right, things along those lines.

Just thought I'd let those that are interested know that I'm working on it! :)

EDIT: Fixed a link and made the entry look better.

I wanted to make a quick note of my thoughts on this right now:

In character journal for a game you're playing in - cool, though as someone who is not IN the campaign, nor ever seen it, I don't know how much I would read it. For someone IN the game, it should be both entertaining and informative.

In character(s) journal for a game which you DM? I'm not sure if it is as good an idea. Why? First, you don't always know what your players have picked up on, and what they missed. By making a journal like that, you give the players unprecidented insight into the game. If you don't mind that, it's not necessarily a bad thing, but beware of letting too many secrets out that way.

I'd write more, but I must be off to do things...

The in character part of my DM journal is going to be random NPCs that experience them in one way or another....like when a certain Half-Orc blunders into a court setting...think of all the scathing things a courtier might have to say about it in their private journal. Then, after a brief interlude dwelling on that, I go into DM mode and talk about where I went wrong, or what I should do again. Something along those lines. It needs work, sure, but I'll work the bugs out as I go along. Like Microsoft!

The in character journal for the game I'm playing in is meant for myself, those I play with, and anyone that ~might~ be interested in reading about the game I play.

I appreciate your thoughts, and will keep them in mind. Please tell me more as it comes to you. :)

I like both ideas quite a bit, the DM's Journal in particular. Not that we can't read most of your thoughts from the looks you give us in game when we do dumb stuff.

You're FIRED!

I'd just like a formal reminder (every so often) to check up on those two spots, as I'm sure with my memory I'll easily forget/get side-tracked.

Looks interesting though in regards to Lou's bio.

So you gonna update this thing or what? I am anxious to COMMENT!

When I can find the time to read it.

Which is not often since, well...Don't have net on my home comp. But I'll read it every once in awhile, I swear!
