Every Day Stuff!

Since the to do list yesterday was so extremely successful, I've decided that I need to do another list today, with all the things I'd like to see me get done before the end of the night.
Now, I'm pretty certain that this is going to be very difficult, given the horrible weather outside. I know that sounds funny, but when it's raining like it is right now, I tend to go into "sleep = good" mode. It's not depression so much, but the days without any sun and full of cloudy rainy days do something to me that saps my will.
Thunderstorms are a completely different story.
Okay, on to the to do list. It's cut for those people that might not want to read the day-to-day stuff, and are only here for Zombies, Ghosts, and my Friends.
(Expect this post to be heavily edited as I finish things during the day, like it was yesterday.)
My Can't Be Done Right Now List and Why and What I'm Doing About It
1) Draw on the underside of the glass dining room table. Okay, step one to this is removing the glass top that is held on to the table by gravity and suction cups. Would you believe that a five foot by three foot by a quarter of an inch bit piece of glass weighs a lot, especially when being held on by suction cups? Yeah, I need to get some help to get this off the table before I can do it. Maybe Maria can help me tonight, but maybe I'll just wait.
1) Put together the table tennis set upstairs in the blue room. Due to circumstances beyond my control, the blue room is currently too dark to see what I'm doing with the small parts that I have to screw in and place correctly. It's all in place for the right time and day.
My To Do List
!)Make a new to do list for when Maria's at her 2nd job tonight!
My Done List
1)Dishes. Okay, so all the dirty dishes from yesterday are resting in the dishwasher right now, ready to be cleaned as soon as the machine is full. I count this as done because, while I could do them by hand, this way is just fine too. It's not like we don't have other plates and glasses.
2)Call parents about Thanksgiving. Wow that was a long conversation with my dad. It was good to talk with him though, and find out what's going on with my family.
3)Try and set up a date for a trip to the used book store to trade in old books. Tentatively set up for Friday. No specific time yet. Will rectify tomorrow.
4)Remember to ask Derek and Kath what kind of Wheat spaghetti they like. See, I'm cooking sauce this week for Saturday's weekly dinner, and they recently joined the cult of South Beach. They seem to like whatever the kind is that Dash's Market (a local chain) carries. I will have to pick that up tomorrow, I think. Spirals, if they have it.
5)Empty a few boxes in the cellar, putting things where they belong, or at least depositing them into a different box, thus freeing up the box they were initially in. Three boxes done, and about two to go. I'm leaving those two boxes for now, however, because I need to figure out where I'm putting all the stuff that's in them. This is harder than it seems. Some of this stuff hasn't been seen in a year, but it has very deep sentimental value, and so I wouldn't dream of throwing it out.
6)Empty laundry room. Okay, there is definately less stuff in there. However, the definition of "empty" has changed, in this instance. It's empty of all the things that ~shouldn't be in there~. I forgot how much stuff in there is supposed to be there. That's okay though, I consider my part done.
7)Begin swords for Tim. Tim will be happy to note that his swords have been started. The cores are cut, as is all but one piece of the necessary foam for the blade. Later tonight, when I am attired for it, I will cut out the two grooves, and glue this baby together. Tomorrow will be the day that the blade gets finished, hopefully. After that, it goes to him for a while, comes back to me, and I can wrap up a finish in probably a day or so.
The lightning is now far away, and this list can continue.

Date: 2005-11-09 05:45 pm (UTC)2) Let me know what story you used in game to send Nanaea back. I haven't written up the last 2 sessions yet... oops! If I get that story from you, maybe I'll take the time to write them both up before they go very stale in my brain...
Man, work got in the way of writing more... *sigh* can you believe these people? Expecting me to do WORK... at WORK?

Date: 2005-11-09 07:40 pm (UTC)The story in game was that, honestly, Nanaea was getting kind of tired with everyone being...the way they are...but along with that, she was starting to get an itching, pushing urge to jump the dog train back to Normalsville. After making sure that everyone was going to be okay, and that they knew what they should do, she blinked out.
Honestly, I think your character really would have been getting tired of their constant bickering with each other...the police...each other...random passer-bys...
I know I was! Heh. :)
