Weather Blues

It's raining outside, with a balmy temperature of around fifty degrees. The backyard is covered with over an inch of water in most places, and the sky is dark. It's probably been raining since early last night, but thankfully the wind has died down since then. When the wind kicked up to full strength last night it made it look as though some of the larger trees in our neighborhood were going to blow over, or at least come out of the experience with a slightly different kilter.

The dogs sleep soundly, snoring loudly when the weather is like this, which is good because otherwise I would have to leash them up and take them out instead of what I usually do, which is let them frolic and chase the evil ninja squirrels from outer space! Damn ninja squirrels! The dogs are yet to catch any, but they are slowly learning the ways of the ninja.

If it were snowing out, the backyard would be frozen, and the dogs could go outside. I'm one of the only Buffalo people I know that is hoping for snow, I think.

Damn Los Angeles and its non weather coldness. I wanna SEE that its winter, not just feel it.

I'm not being negative about weather in general, mind you, but this weather in particular tends to take its toll, especially when it's been going on all day, and at noon it feels as though it's almost night.

I'll take snow over this almost any day of the year. At least with snow it's bright out! (Seriously, at night when there's snow on the ground it's almost like daylight. I love that.)

And everyone wants Evil Ninja Squirrels From Outer Space, but they can't have them. They're mine!

Hmm ... now I'm thinking of making a web comic, or something.

I thought that right after reading ENSFOS, and before the line "now I'm thinking of making a web comic", so I guess it really has to happen :)

Hmm, I see there are 'Rabid Gerbiles from Outer-Space' who were inspired by brave squirrels, and 'Flying outer space sun squirrels', and even 'Nut Shinobi' (http://hushicho.captainn.net/nutshinobi.jpg) Mayhaps there are more...

That rain storm came through Alabama yesterday. I was in the process of moving so I got totally soaked. Unfortunately, I had no choice about moving since we had to be out by today.

By the way, I may be interested in talking to your girlfriend, Maria, about designing a webpage for me. I will let you know when I am ready to do that.

Sorry to hear you weren't able to stay out of the rain. Thankfully, despite having to take the car around a bit today, I'm able to stay mostly dry. It only gets real bad if I allow the dogs to go out back and play "let's get our paws as muddy as possible." I hate their sense of fun games to play.
