1. What's on your feet?
One red cotton sock, and one blue cotton sock. I'm Superman today!
2. Turn to your right -- what do you see?
A beautiful snow-covered landscape. Damnit, that means I have to shovel my driveway!
3. What is the last thing you ate?
Burritos from a little place downtown called Edrito's. Their hours aren't great, and it's a long drive from the suburbs, including a small walk because they're on a street that doesn't allow cars, but believe it or not the food makes it worth going. Beef burrito, with rice, beans, lettuce, cheese and salsa with a total weight of about a pound. Fresh ingredients with authentic taste make this place a winner! (It's a shame they closed the store closer to me.)
4. What can you smell right now?
Not much. I've been working with liquid latex, which contains ammonia. So, I guess, ammonia?
5. Do you wear hats?
Only in really cold weather. Even then I don't like doing it except for the comfort of being warm.
Yesterday was a good time because Maria and I got to enjoy some time with Earl by going out to Edrito's. He'd never been there before, and I think he was pleasantly surprised with the size of the food, as well as the taste. He's 6'7", so when he says something's big, he means it! Of course, he made me feel fat because I finished mine, and he had a little bit left over when he was done, but I'm getting used to that. I think he stays in shape because he makes a conscious decision not to gorge himself. Weirdo.
Afterwards, we went over to a little leather shop owned by a very nice woman named Linda. Earl got himself some black scrap leather to make bracers out of, and I got to see the proprietor's dog, Duke. I also priced out some special foam for making weapons, and am tempted to buy a sheet as soon as I can. I really think that the next step to being a successful sword-maker is getting the better supplies.
Things are going rather well. Not much happening, but today I get to deliver the sword I've been working so diligently on for the past few weeks. Granted, I should have been working on it for a few weeks about a month and a half ago, but that's not the point.

Date: 2005-12-09 05:15 pm (UTC)I'm counting the tamaki rolls as 3, nigiri as 2, and each piece of maki as 1.
But it's okay--walking the 30 blocks to get there will work up my appetite. I hope. :)
