It's time to start keeping those Zombie Kits on hand, my friends. Look here, and think about the saying "Life imitates art." How many zombie-esque flicks start with strange dust from outer space coming to Earth? It's never a good thing.

Looks like I'll have to start talking about my plan so that those in the area know where to go for potential safety. However, remember that even those of us with plans could make a mistake, and if it seems as though the people you see through the window in the shelter are moving a little oddly, or the door is blown off its hinges, find somewhere else to go. Keep backups in mind.

Later on I'll reveal my plan. It's changed a lot in the past year, but it's rather sound for a beginning. Do you have a plan if you're not in this area? Where will you go, and what will you do? I think [livejournal.com profile] akdidge will be safest up in Alaska, but I guess we'll have to see.

I saw a Zombie in some cartoon last night.
I immediately thought of you :)

I think I'm pleased by this association. Either that or I'm a huge geek.

The two are not necessarily exlusive, I suppose.

How many zombie movies have you actually seen? All of them?

For some reason the "people moving strangely in the window" association made me laugh; I never thought of that one...

Don't forget the eerie kid covered in blood standing in the middle of nowhere in their pajamas. Resist the urge to go over and give him/her a much needed hug...

I know I haven't seen them all, and honestly I haven't even seen the original George Romero flicks! I've seen the newer Dawn of the Dead, and will soon see the rest of these classics, but I'm getting my information from the non-Romero movies. I can't remember names of the movies where dead-to-life becomes reality due to startdust, or whatever, but there are quite a few. At least two. One?

Either way, it's bad!

As far as the kid goes, as well as anyone that you see that isn't obviously a zombie (though the blood and eerieness kind of covers it in this case), don't get too close, keep them covered with your weapon, and MAKE THEM SPEAK before approaching them. If they can't talk, they rush at you with death in their eyes, or whatever, you have to take them out. Every zombie you leave behind that you could have taken out without danger to yourself or others can come back to haunt you later.

You don't happen to have a gun, do you? That's my major failing right now. *sigh*
