1. Name one of your flaws:
~George.

2. Have you ever won first place?
~I've tied for it in writing contests, leaving me to wonder if they were contests at all, really, or just ways to get us children to feel proud about getting things published in the local newspaper. Either way, I got 5 bucks out if it!

3. Who is the last person to make you smile?
~My friend at work, Lu.

4. Describe a time when you should have tried harder:
~This question sounds so much like an interview question that I bristle at answering it. However, I should have tried harder to get good grades in school, to get my homework done. There were many times I purposely did not to homework, and I sort of regret it now that I've tried to get into a few nicer colleges. Well, nice-ish.

5. What are you good at?
~I like to think that in person I'm good at making people smile. Even if it's just to laugh at me, I love making people smile.

Home again today, but that's okay, it gives me time to make sure my Franken-dog is doing okay.

Thinking about writing another rant later. Anyone want my opinion on anything specific? I'm not promising to write about it, just wondering what you'd like to hear, or know about me even.

I want a rant on the state of processed food and unsustainable agricultural practices in first world countries.

Since when did you become my flaw? *chuckles*

I think maybe I'll rant on people trying to get actual substance and importance out of livejournal posts. ;)

Are you talking about the fact that we pay farmers to NOT grow crops these days?

Personally, I think a free market economy with a full-on "hands off*" governmental policy is what will bring us back from the edge. The problem with this is that there's going to be a transfer time in which things will fall, and fall hard. We're talking another Depression, easily, if things get out of hand. The transition might be what kills, so...it'll never happen.

*I can't remember how to spell that fancy french term for this. Laizze faire, or something....~sigh~...I used to know, back when I was smarter.

Oh, and we need to work on staying self-sustainable without looking to the outside to help us stay on our feet. I know a global economy IS the reality today, but we're looking out TOO much, without enough focus on our own people.

Yeah, the scary thing is, in the not-too distant future, the US won't be able to grow enough food for itself, the way things are headed. And then we'll have to rely on countries like Brazil for food. Not a good situation. It's a topic that one of my Animal Science professors likes to talk about because he's worried and wants us to be educated about it and be able to help once we're out in the 'real world'.

I want to know why you look upset in your user icon, and why you don't fill up your icon quota.

That one's easy, I'll tell you.

I look upset because I was being bothered while on the computer, hence not looking at the camera, and not paying it any attention except perhaps a steady focused attention elsewhere. So, I'm not upset, just concentrating. Also please note that all the color has been ~purposely~ washed from that picture, except for my very blue shirt. Blown up large the picture looks really cool.

I don't fill up my icon quota because, to be blunt, I don't care about it. I know people love icons, and want more more more. That's fine, but I came here for writing. I only got an icon because people bugged me enough about it, and now I'm trying to get some pictures of me taken so I can fill up my quota to appease the masses. ;)

I want to hear about the film industry. I want to hear you talk about the fact that despite the advent of mind boggling technology, we use those tools to cover the shortcomings of actors instead of augmenting their skills. And about how every epic from now on is going too look and sound like Lord of the Rings.

Hmm. That's a good one, but not for the mood I'm in. I'll store it away, probably for early next week. Thanks!

So, I just heard from unnamed sources (Jim), that the NERO weekend will be moved up a week to April 21-23, as other unnamed sources did not actually deposit the money to reserve the site in time.

To me, this means, I won't be there. I'll be in Tennessee.

That sucks, as I was looking forward to seeing you, and your compatriots, out at an event, instead of around a table...

*nods* He's going to have one hell of a time - I mean, without you, me, and the people I was going to bring, how many NPCs will he really have?

1. My spine

2. Um...no? Actually, I don't think I have. Thank you SO much for giving me something ELSE to talk about in therapy.

3. You, actually...I was clearing out my inbox, and found a comment notification from you from a couple of days ago. And, just writing my answer to #2 was fun.

4. Do you honestly want me to answer this? Cause you know I'm going to say school...

5. Can I give you a top five? I think I'm good at writing, at least sometimes. That is a come-and-go sort of thing with me. I'm a good cook. I'm a fantastic kisser. I take fabulous care of children. Oh, and I sing okay. :)
