Okay, so it might make me sick for a little while, that's no big deal. I'll heal, and I have health insurance if something goes really wrong. I'll deal with it, and I'm a big boy.

There. I've got that out of the way.

For the next two weeks, I'm pushing to see how much weight I can lose. I'm pushing as hard as I can, and doing it "Biggest Loser" style, where the point is weight loss fast, not "slow, safe" weight loss.

I won't be starving myself, because that's counter-productive, but I will be eating smaller meals, exercising a lot more, and using a couple tips I picked up from reading in-depth about how these people do it while on those shows.

After all, I like pushing myself.

Speaking as a man who recently lost 41 pounds (and a few more since then), I can advise you on the following:

1) Don't comfort eat (I caught myself doing this in front of the TV because I wanted to be doing something while I was vegging out);

2) Cut out soda (yes, it's hard; yes it sucks; the caffeine headaches are el-sucko, but it'll help you lose weight FAST);

3) Stop eating treats (you don't have to give them up for good, but stop eating ice cream, cookies, etc.); and

4) If you're hungry get a glass of water first (a lot of times your brain is confused and thinks it's hungry but your body is likely dehydrated and sending a mixed signal to your brain).
