I'm looking for an artist that might be interested in doing a web comic with me. I'm looking for somebody who can crank out relatively decent artwork for a nitty-gritty style web comic set in a post-apocalyptic future, sort of.

Please email jmfargo@gmail.com for more information or with art submissions for consideration. Also feel free to ask any questions on here, as it may help others decide whether or not this is something they want to get involved in.

Please feel free to pass this on to any art people you know that may want to be involved in something like this.

Thanks!

*nods* I know, but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?

In the mean time, I'm trying to learn how to draw. I think I have a better chance of finding an artist. :-D

Ya know, that was my thought, too. But - cleaning the office last night - I ran into some of the stuff I drew back when I was trying to make some filler for Cheshire-Grin two years ago.

It wasn't actually COMPLETELY bad. It wasn't completely GOOD mind you, but it had some redeeming features.

I know you're looking into extended education classes. Ever thought of taking an art class?

Um.

Pardon me for a second, but I never put together, even a little bit, that you were THAT Misha. *laughs*

Give me one moment of fanboy, and then I'll never revert to it again:

Cheshire-Grin was AWESOME!

*ahem*

Okay, there. Got that out of my system.

I've thought about taking art class, and might actually end up doing just that. However, right now I have some aspirations towards becoming a translator from Arabic to English, and that's going to be consuming my future classes for the next few years, or at least until I get tired of it.

Getting free college is a really great benefit of having a wife in the system. :)

LOL

Now that I think on it, I can't remember if I first dropped in on your blog through C-G or through Ferrett. I'm glad to hear you liked it, though! Our fanbase was never huge, but it was VERY loyal and VERY vocal, and I always appreciated hearing it so much.

And I know what you mean about the classes. Right now, I seem to have just enough time in my day for work, a bit of social time with T. and a few minutes to spare to think about all the side-projects I WISH I was doing. Including but not limited to: writing, picking up the Guitar again, learning to draw, working out, and/or learning a martial art. And that's not even including the chain maille weaving or LARP sewing projects that fill a few stolen moments here and there. It's actually one of the reasons I'm pushing myself to sign up for a CLASS somewhere for the Fall/Winter. It might make me put aside reading and compulsive game playing and actually DO some of the stuff I've been meaning to DO!
