Today? No Clue.

jmfargoI just want to go back to bed.
Sitting perfectly still in a chair for an hour and a half yesterday has left all the major muscles in my back, legs, and arms sore, weak, and tired. At one point during the second half hour of the sitting (that's what we art models* call it; a "sitting") I actually felt sweat trickle down my side. It was very unexpected, and I almost checked to make sure it wasn't a bug, but figured the ladies sitting there would have said "Excuse me, there's a spider crawling down your side and it's messing up my picture. Could you brush it off please?"
So that's left me a bit tired and out of it this morning, but I'm awake and ready to face the day. I still have some Arabic homework that needs to get done, and then I get to do my usual transcription work; make the big bucks. Class today should be fun; it's getting more enjoyable now that I go to class prepared every day, having my homework done and the knowledge fresh in my mind. That's much better than the way I was doing it, where I wasn't doing the homework and so I had no idea what the teacher was saying when he was asking me questions involving the new vocabulary.
I still tend to stutter over my responses, but at least I'm able to understand what he's saying now so I don't answer "My wife is fine" when he asks about my dog, Monster.
After class, more work followed by an Arabic review hour with some higher-level students. Finally at the end of the day I'll be able to relax. While I'm relaxing around 7pm, my wife has to go to a meeting for her graduate-level course, and who knows how long that's going to last.
Busy and lonely day.

*Heh. "we art models." You folks know the only reason I'm doing this is so that I can say "I'm a model," right? The money's okay, but I make more doing my other job, and it's not like I WANT people staring at my naked body. I just like being able to answer the question "what do you do" with something that makes people do a double-take. :)

Date: 2009-03-26 02:23 pm (UTC)I have gotten much better and this game should go based off of my 12/1 league average of 98 and I've bowled 130-150 pretty consistantly, so I might stand a chance of doing well.
All of our tournaments are at lanes we've never bowled before though and that can make a HUGE difference.
It is kind of exciting. We get to travel too, that's fun!
