Worst. Easter. Ever.

1. Woke up this morning, and my computer was dead. I need to get a reboot disk shipped to me to fix it, which is going to take a week.

2. While making potato salad for lunch, I was grinding some peppercorns when the grinder broke in half, showering the entire counter with peppercorns, and spilling most of them directly into the all-but-completed potato salad. The only things I had not yet added? Mayo and the hard boiled egg. The egg was tasty.

3. There is a plumber here, snaking the lines. Water coming back up the outtake line is NOT acceptable, especially 2 weeks after having it snaked.

Today did NOT turn out as intended. I'd like a do-over please. When I wake up tomorrow, I'd really appreciate it if it could be Sunday again, and maybe these bad things just not happen.

That'd be great. Thanks.

ETA: 4. The plumber's line snake just broke, about 3 feet short of the major clog. No, seriously.

We've found that our life tends to balance out, so we're hoping tomorrow's a very nice day and something happens to "fix" today's problems.

Even if it doesn't, at least it's just one bad day with repercussions that spiral out instead of bad day after bad day after bad day.

till the disk gets there, give ubuntu a try. Load it to the hard rive or not (shouldn't make a difference if the disk is reloading your OS, but it can be used as a live CD just in case). Maybe you'll like it, but even if not, it's easy to use for a week and it's free.

No worries. This other computer works, even if it isn't as powerful.

Vista's okay. *shrugs* I've never been a power user in any sense, so it hasn't given me any problems. Unfortunately, the first problem I had is with it just refusing to work.

It's okay. I'm sure we'll survive, but some days you just want to crawl back into bed and pretend nothing outside of that room exists. Except maybe the internet, because I'd crawl in there with a laptop.

Oh, and food. Food's good too. It can exist.

And the dogs. But I guess they'd be in the room with me.

You can tell I'm already in a better mood by the way I tell bad jokes. :)
