My mom went home yesterday, and while it's nice to be able to find my own rhythm again, she will be missed. She was quiet, but helpful, and nice to have around. At the same time, it was strange having a third person around, when I haven't lived with anybody but Maria in probably 6 years.

The puppies, on the other hand, are still here. Still making a mess, still trying to kill each other.

Oh yes, the puppies are trying to kill each other. The other day I had to separate two by grabbing one by the scruff and lifting him off the other. The other one came with due to the fact that the one I was lifting had a firm hold on his neck! It took me a moment to realize what was going on, and then I put them back on the ground, batted at them until they came apart, and then put the instigator into time out.

Oh, and did I mention breaking up a fight over food that ended up with me having 3 puncture wounds in my left hand? Stupid puppies.

If you can't tell, I'm not a fan. I mean, they're cute when they're playing, but they make messes, bite me, an are loud when they get fussy. Bah! Never again!

(Now, going back and checking some notes I made a while back when we were fostering the Lab puppies, I note that I wrote "Never again!" Hmm.)

Other than that, things are fine. I'm getting a new hard drive shipped to me for my new computer that's been broken for 2 months. Once that's put in, and everything is reloaded, I'll start putting pictures up again, but this computer runs slower than a slug in molasses in January on tar when I try to open up a graphics program. That's why the pictures are put on hold of the puppies for now.

That's about it. Mom's gone home, puppies go to the SPCA tomorrow, and class is done except for this take-home final I have to bring back tomorrow. Yay life!

You are a total saint for fostering those puppies.

Well, I have to disagree in part. To be truthful, they make me cranky, and if their operations could have been done last week, I would have been happy to have them out of my hair. I don't think saints are supposed to be happy to have their burden off their hands as quickly as possible. :)
