GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!

Today's my one day off this week and I only have the one job at PetSmart. Originally I thought this was going to be four days on and three days off but it turns out it's six days on and one day off. Still not a lot of hours (about 28 a week) but spread out over the course of several days. One day (at the moment) I'm only working 2 hours! Geesh.

Still, I love working with the dogs and am very happy I got this job. That's not me trying to convince myself; it's simple truth.

Today though? Today I have off! Whoo! So, instead of going to work I get to clean the kitchen, go grocery shopping, return movies to the library, till the soil in my garden, plant seeds indoors to start seedlings for my garden, build an 8'x4' garden frame, take care of the dogs, clean up around the house, and do laundry.

Yay, day off?

What's up with you today?

Days off are rarely as relaxing as we'd like them to be. ;p

TOday is day 1 of a 2 day conference. I also have an interview to go to this afternoon, if they tell me when to be there for sure.

I did a good amount of work this morning to help allocate some time to myself this afternoon to get in some good reading. Happily this means I'll get some "me" time in. :)

Days off tend to be more work than they should be.

Granted, I haven't really had a day off since like early December, but that's my own damn fault for doing home remodel work and trying to do my normal job too.

Today is more of the same. Trying to recall my job's duties, and get it right, then after work driving out to the Valley to work on the house for a few hours, driving back home and then crashing. Whee.

Have you considered just getting someone else to finish it? Heh. I know things cost money but is your time worth all this?

I don't know the whole situation, so I'm just curious.

We're in it to win it, as they say. We've already cleared 5 digits on the credit card, so at this point we'd rather just do it ourselves. Granted, when we sell the house we'll reimburse all that (and then some hopefully) so it'll turn out ok in the end.

Just a bit painful now. Good thing my wife and I live frugally.

Dang but you are a Day Off Overachiever!

Up with me? Eh, just the usual work malaise. I should do something about it.
