Three quick updates, and then I'm off to do my morning Wiirkout.

1) This is why I need an artist for my web comic idea:

A bad drawing of a man in a hat, leaning against a white background.

This picture, drawn by me, showcases the fact that I have NO idea what to do. Okay, you might point out that I've got the generalities right, that he has arms and legs, and a head, but what about hands? Or a freakin' face? Those two things are impossible for me to make look decent when I draw them.

Plus, that little sketch took me about 20 minutes. That's just sad.

2) I'm currently working on upgrading my zombie defense blog into something more than what it is. I'm wondering if Word Press might better suit my needs. Does anybody have experience with the free version?

3) My three favorite fantasy authors are Robin Hobb, Raymond Feist, and Jim Butcher. Terry Pratchett would be in there, but he's my favorite comedic author, so I wanted to make room for someone else.

I just thought you'd like to know something about me that you might not already have known. That, and I didn't actually have three things to say when I started, so I had to come up with something.

*nods* A formula's a good idea. If I had a tablet, one of those fancy "draw on me and the image appears on your computer" kind of tablets, then I think I'd have the problem solved since I could just save everyone and redo them how I have to while keeping the general image I'm going for, but since I'm doing everything free-hand at the moment I might have to try and figure out the formulas to getting everyone right.

Also, it's going to help when I flesh out the actual characters I'll be working on. Right now I'm just doing practice, essentially, and figuring stuff out. Next step is to actually work on the characters, get a few sketches of them set down, so that I'll have something to compare future drawings to.

Sorry, rambling. I'm not yet 100% sold on the idea that I can do this, but I'm definitely going to try it.

Just another rabbit to chase, I suppose. I've got about 7 right now. *sigh*

I had a wacom graphire, and the kids have some kind of tablet - well it's technically mine, but I don't use it too often and the mouse for the laptop died - they are definitely fun to work with! (And you might be able to find an old one online cheap?)

http://www.drawspace.com/ might help some too...
